Kristen M. Steffen was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Maryland in 1999 and received her reciprocal license in North Carolina in 2008. She received her CDFA certification in 2010.

Spanning a variety of industries, her accounting career has included jobs in public, corporate, nonprofit, tax, audit and forensic accounting. 

Kristen received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Master’s in Accountancy from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is a North Carolina native who resides in Cary with her family and a menagerie of pets.
